Humanities Texas has a long tradition of providing humanities resources to the people of Texas. In 1978, the Texas Resource Center was established as a division of the Texas Council for the Humanities (now Humanities Texas) under the leadership of Director Frances Leonard. Although the Resource Center no longer operates as a separate entity, Humanities Texas maintains the Center's tradition of providing high quality, inexpensive humanities resources to cultural organizations throughout Texas and the nation. We invite you to consider how our resources might benefit your organization.
Humanities Interactive
Our online exhibit space provides interactive games, exhibits, and teaching resources for visitors of all ages.
Traveling exhibits
Our collection of more than 50 humanities exhibits features topics ranging from the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence to Medieval art.
Rental information
Rental procedures and pricing aim to make humanities programming easy for organizations of any size.
Resources for current renters
Organizations that have rented exhibits can access sample press releases, programming ideas, director reports, and other materials.
Media and equipment rental
Individuals and groups can select from more than 400 films, videotapes, and slide programs.
