Grants Workshops Held Throughout State

Grants workshop audience in Austin

Members of the audience at the recent Humanities Texas grants workshop at the Mexican American Cultural Center in Austin.

Since January, Humanities Texas has held a number of workshops throughout the state promoting the resources it provides to Texas’s cultural and educational organizations.

In February, Humanities Texas sponsored major workshops in Austin and San Antonio in partnership with the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA). NEH Director of Public Programs Thomas C. Phelps discussed federal grants that support humanities programming. Staff members from Humanities Texas and TCA discussed funding opportunities available at the state level. More than two hundred and fifty people attended the two workshops.

Humanities Texas also recently held workshops in Brownsville, Midland-Odessa, and San Angelo. Please contact the Humanities Texas office if you would like to receive a copy of the information packets distributed at any of these programs.
